Goa nightclub fire: Jharkhand loses 3 young workers

A fire at Birch By Romeo Lane nightclub in Arpora, Goa, on December 7 took 25 lives, including three young men from Jharkhand—Pradeep Mahto (24), Binod Mahto (20), and Mohit Munda (22).
Their bodies were brought back to Ranchi and then sent to their respective villages for last rites, leaving families and the local community heartbroken.

They moved to Goa for work; state offers support

The three had gone to Goa a year ago to work as cooks, sending home ₹30,000 each month to support their families.
After the tragedy, Jharkhand's Labour Department announced ₹50,000 immediate relief plus another ₹1 lakh for each family.
