Gujarat family loses 4 in tragic house fire

A heartbreaking fire in Godhra, Gujarat, took the lives of jeweler Kamal Doshi, his wife Deval, and their sons Dev and Raj early Friday morning.
The family was found at home on Bamroli Road—just hours before they were to leave for Vapi for the engagement of one of the sons, Dev.

Fire likely started from basement sofa; investigation ongoing

Investigators think the fire began with a sofa in the basement and quickly filled the house with smoke while everyone slept.
With windows and doors shut, there was no way out. Neighbors called for help when they saw smoke, but sadly it was too late.
Police have registered an accidental death case and are still looking into exactly how it happened.
A relative shared their shock that such a tragedy struck on what should have been a joyful day.
