Haryana Agricultural University students demand VC's removal
Students at Haryana Agricultural University (HAU), Hisar, are still protesting and demanding Vice Chancellor B R Kamboj step down.
The unrest began after alleged security assaults during demonstrations over changes to scholarship rules.
Even after two weeks of talks with a committee formed by the Chief Minister, which includes the Education Minister, students say their main demand hasn't been met.
Students worry things won't improve while Kamboj's in charge
Students accuse Kamboj of "brutal repression" and worry things won't improve while he's in charge.
Political parties like Congress and JJP have jumped in to support the students—Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge even spoke with them over video call.
While most issues have been addressed, Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda suggested politics might be fueling the push for Kamboj's removal but assured students he's always open to hearing them out.
