Pune-Bengaluru Expressway to halve travel time by 2028
By 2028, the new Pune-Bengaluru Expressway will cut travel time between the two cities from 15 hours to just about seven.
This 700km, six-lane highway is designed to make journeys faster and smoother, connecting Maharashtra and Karnataka like never before.
The new route will pass through 12 districts
The route starts near Kanjle in Maharashtra and ends at Bommanal in Karnataka, passing through 12 districts—including Pune, Satara, Belagavi, and Tumakuru—and shaving nearly 95km off the current drive.
With speeds up to 120km/h, it promises easier trips for everyone.
