Husband, in-laws charged for dowry death; wife later found alive

A 20-year-old woman from Auraiya district in Uttar Pradesh has been found alive after she went missing in 2023, according to an NDTV report. Her disappearance had led to her husband and six in-laws being charged with dowry death under Section 304B of the Indian Penal Code. The case was registered on a court's order after her family alleged she was killed for dowry when they couldn't find her after extensive searches.

They managed to trace the woman to Madhya Pradesh and brought her back to Auraiya on Wednesday. "The woman went missing a year and a half after she got married.
