IMD issues red alert for these Kerala districts

The IMD has issued red alerts for Idukki, Palakkad, and Malappuram on Wednesday as a low-pressure system over the Bay of Bengal is set to strengthen soon.
Orange and yellow alerts are also out for several other districts, with heavy rain expected to hit in the coming days.

Already, places like Neyyattinkara, Kozhikode, and Ernakulam have seen serious downpours—Neyyattinkara got 11cm of rain in just 24 hours.
