IMD predicts heavy rainfall and flash-flood warnings across India

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has put out alerts for heavy to extremely heavy rainfall in several states.
Himachal Pradesh is facing the worst of it, with 11 cloudbursts, four flash floods, and a deadly landslide in Mandi that took 13 lives.
An orange alert is on for more rain and possible flash floods over the next 24 hours.

TL;DR

East Rajasthan could get hit hardest today

Northwest states like East Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Punjab, and Himachal are bracing for intense showers—East Rajasthan could get hit hardest on July 3.
West India's coastal areas (think Goa and parts of Maharashtra) are also in for some serious downpours.
Meanwhile, places like Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Meghalaya (on July 6), and Karnataka are set to see heavy rain too.
The Kedarnath pilgrimage has even been paused after a landslide blocked roads due to all the rain.
