IMD predicts severe weather in Andhra Pradesh

Heads up, Andhra Pradesh! The weather department says to expect heavy rain and thunderstorms across the state until June 19. The worst is likely for Northern Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on June 15-16, with winds possibly reaching 50km/h. Southern parts like SCAP and Rayalaseema could also see some stormy spells.
Why the weather is so unstable right now
Blame it on cyclonic circulations over the Bay of Bengal—one big system has merged with another near the north Andhra coast, making things extra unstable and humid. Plus, a couple of troughs stretching across different regions are still adding to the mix. All this means more storms and gusty winds could be on the way for many parts of the state.
