Board's focus on farmers and research

The Turmeric Board is also about helping farmers earn more and pushing for research to improve crop quality.
The government has set aside ₹200 crore for these efforts, keeping a promise made to Nizamabad's turmeric growers.
Interestingly, setting up the board was a key election issue—BJP's D Arvind won key elections here after promising its launch, showing how much this move matters both on farms and at the polls.
