India optimistic about resolving China's rare earth import issue
India's running into a big snag with rare earth magnets—the stuff that powers electric vehicles and loads of electronics—after China put export limits in place this April. Since India imported over 53,748 metric tons last year (mostly from China), this move has made things tricky for tech and green energy plans.
