India to soon have own standard of apparel size: Irani

Union Minister Smriti Irani today said Indian textiles and garments industry would soon get its own country-specific apparel size. Addressing the 'Textile Conclave' at the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit in Gandhinagar, Irani said a study will be carried out before introducing the 'Size India' project for apparel measurement. Irani said one of the biggest challenges is that India doesn't have its own standard apparel-size.
