Indian Railways introduces advance reservation chart preparation
Indian Railways is testing a new system in Bikaner where the final reservation chart comes out 24 hours before your train leaves, instead of just a few hours before. This means waitlisted passengers get to know their ticket status much earlier, making last-minute travel stress way less intense.
Benefits of the new system
Getting your ticket status a whole day ahead gives you more time to make backup plans if you're still waitlisted. For the Railways, it's also easier to spot busy routes and add extra coaches when needed—so fewer people are left scrambling for seats.
Will be implemented in other stations too
After positive results in Bikaner, Indian Railways plans to bring this system to other busy lines too. The best part? No changes in how you book tickets—just more convenience and less waiting around for everyone.
