India's watchdog issues warning to Air India
India's aviation regulator, DGCA, has warned Air India after two Bengaluru-London flights in May had pilots flying over the allowed 10-hour limit.
As a result, three airline executives were removed from their roles, with the DGCA pointing to deeper issues in how schedules are managed and a lack of accountability.

Airline put its COO in charge of flight scheduling
Air India says it's following the new rules, putting its chief operations officer in charge of flight scheduling.
Still, regulators weren't impressed by the airline's disciplinary response and also flagged overdue safety checks on some planes.
The airline had actually reported these violations itself—a sign it knows there's room to improve as it works on raising its safety game under Tata Group ownership.
