Indore man strangles grandmother over money dispute

In Indore's Malharganj area, a 28-year-old man allegedly strangled his 65-year-old grandmother, Shantibai Kishan Dhananjay, when she refused to give him money for alcohol. Shantibai supported the family with her municipal pension while her grandson, Vikas Gauhar, was unemployed and struggling with alcoholism. The next morning, family members grew suspicious after Vikas gave misleading answers about Shantibai's whereabouts and locked others out of the house.
