40-year-old civilian abducted, shot dead by terrorists in Pulwama

A 40-year-old man was forcibly taken away from his home and shot dead by terrorists in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, police said today. "Manzoor Ahmad Lone was shot dead by the terrorists late on Thursday night at Gulzarpora in Awantipora area of Pulwama, " a police spokesman said. Man's body found near a school in nearby Gulzarpora

The spokesman said an initial investigation revealed that Lone was forcibly taken away by terrorists from his home in Dogripora and was shot dead. His body was found near Higher Secondary School at Gulzarpora. Lone suffered serious bullet injuries and died instantly, said the police, adding that the area has been cordoned off. In the last two days, terrorists had attacked two other civilians.

On Thursday, National Conference (NC) leader Muhammad Ismail was shot at and injured in Bijbehara area of Anantnag district. Police said that Ismail is a residence of Bijbehara town. An army deserter was also shot dead on Wednesday in the Pulwama district.
