J&K blast: Govt announces ₹10 lakh support for victims' families

India

After a tragic blast at Nowgam police station, the J&K government is giving ₹10 lakh to each family who lost someone.
The explosion happened while police were checking confiscated explosives, leaving nine dead and 27 injured.
This financial help comes from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to support those hit hardest by the tragedy.

Blast tied to terror module; rescue slowed by more explosions

Turns out, the explosives were linked to a "white-collar" terror group connected with the Red Fort car blast case, and had been brought in from Haryana.
Most of those hurt were police officers, along with a few civilians who happened to be nearby.
Rescue efforts were delayed because smaller blasts kept happening after the main one, so teams had to move carefully.
Now, authorities are reviewing how they handle explosive materials to prevent anything like this from happening again.
