'Kalash Yatra' kicks off final rituals for Ram Temple's big day

India

Ayodhya is buzzing as the Ram Temple enters its last phase of rituals.
On Thursday, women devotees carried 551 urns (kalash) from the Saryu ghat to the temple—a colorful tradition that sets the stage for upcoming ceremonies using water collected along the way.

What's happening on November 25?

The main event: a huge saffron flag, decorated with symbols from the Valmiki Ramayana, will be hoisted atop the temple at exactly 11:55am.
Prime Minister Modi and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will attend as special guests, making this a pretty historic moment.

How are they handling crowds?

With massive turnout expected, only invited guests get in on November 25—VIP darshan is paused until January 26.
Public visits reopen November 26.
Organizers have rolled out color-coded passes and extra staff training to keep things smooth and safe for everyone.
