Karnataka woman brutally murders husband
In Tumakuru district, Karnataka, a woman named Sumangala allegedly killed her husband Shankaramurthy.
Police say she threw chili powder in his eyes, hit him with a club, and pressed her foot on his neck—all as part of a plan with her lover Nagaraju to remove him as an obstacle to their relationship.
Body wrapped in gunny sack
The murder happened on June 24 in Kadashettihalli village. Afterward, Sumangala and Nagaraju reportedly wrapped Shankaramurthy's body in a gunny sack and dumped it about 30km away in a well to cover up the crime.
When police started investigating his disappearance, they found evidence at the farmhouse—including chili powder traces—and soon linked Sumangala to the crime through call records. She confessed during questioning.
The case is now officially registered, and police are continuing their investigation while collecting more evidence.
