Kejriwal finally gets new government bungalow after Delhi HC push
Arvind Kejriwal, AAP's national convenor and former Delhi Chief Minister, finally has a new government bungalow at 95 Lodhi Estate—almost a year after stepping down and moving out of his old official home in October 2024.
The Centre made the allotment only after the Delhi High Court pushed for a resolution following months of delay.
His new spot is a Type-VII government house
Kejriwal's new spot is a spacious Type-VII government house, one of the larger categories of government accommodation in Delhi.
Previously home to BJP leader Iqbal Singh Lalpura, it comes with four bedrooms, two lawns, staff quarters, and even its own camp office.
The place is around 5,000 square feet and puts him close to other big names like Shashi Tharoor.
The hunt for new home
Before landing this address, AAP had tried for Mayawati's old bungalow but lost out to Union Minister Pankaj Chaudhary back in July 2025.
Plus, Kejriwal's last residence was caught up in controversy over expensive renovations—nicknamed the "sheeshmahal" saga—making this move extra noteworthy.
