Indian youth forced to fight in Russia-Ukraine war
A 29-year-old named Sandeep from Jethpur village, Rohtak, went to Russia on a student visa but ended up being tricked into joining the Russian army.
According to his family, he was hired as a cook but later given weapons and sent to areas near Ukraine.
Now, his family is desperately asking the Indian government for help to bring him back.
Family has reached out to local leaders, MEA for support
His relatives say they spent ₹6 lakh through an agent who promised a job abroad—only for him to land in combat with little training.
They've reached out to local leaders and the Ministry of External Affairs for support.
Sadly, this isn't an isolated case; more young men from Haryana and Punjab have reportedly been lured by similar scams and are waiting for government action as India pushes Russia to stop these forced recruitments.
