Kerala: Nearly 40 students hospitalized after suspected food poisoning

About 40 students from Kakkat Government Higher Secondary School in Nileshwaram, Kerala landed in the hospital on Saturday after a school trip meal went wrong.
They'd eaten chicken curry at a hotel near Banasura Sagar during their Wayanad excursion, and many started feeling sick with stomach pain and vomiting on the way home.

What happened next

The students were quickly taken to local hospitals, along with four teachers who also felt unwell.
Thankfully, doctors say none of the kids are in serious condition. Some more students needed treatment the next day as symptoms lingered.
Health officials are now investigating what caused the food poisoning to make sure it doesn't happen again.
