Ludhiana: Toll manager shot at, attacked with swords

India

Yadwinder Singh, manager of Ghulal Toll Plaza on the Ludhiana-Chandigarh highway, was attacked on Tuesday afternoon by four men who arrived in a car.
They assaulted him with swords and fired shots, hitting his right leg and grazing him before fleeing.
The incident caused panic among toll staff and commuters.

Police suspect attack linked to old rivalry

Singh received first aid locally before being moved to Chandigarh, where doctors say he's now out of danger.
Police believe the attack is tied to an old rivalry from his previous job at a different toll plaza near Amritsar.
The main suspect is Nachhattar Singh from Kapurthala, along with three others.
Investigations are ongoing as police review CCTV footage and conduct raids to find those involved.
