Madhya Pradesh girl fakes kidnapping after scolding
A 13-year-old girl in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, staged her own kidnapping after her mom scolded her for too much phone use.
She left home without telling anyone and wrote a ransom note demanding ₹15 lakh, warning not to involve the police.
Her disappearance sparked a citywide search and a missing person report.
No legal action was taken against the girl
Police found the ransom note in her school bag and confirmed through handwriting analysis that she wrote it herself.
An autorickshaw driver said he'd dropped her near Sadar Bazar, helping police track her down safely at an isolated spot.
The girl admitted she made up the story to avoid trouble at home.
She received counseling, and no legal action was taken—authorities just reminded everyone how important it is to be honest about serious situations.
