Man arrested for crashing virtual court hearings has 50 cases

India

Md Imran was arrested after disrupting virtual court hearings at Tis Hazari Courts last month.
He logged in wearing only his underwear, openly smoking and drinking on camera on September 16 and 17.
Even after being told to leave, he kept interrupting the sessions under a fake name.
The court's record keeper reported him to the police.

He joined out of curiosity about WebEx

Investigators used IP addresses and call records to trace Imran—who had set up multiple fake emails and kept changing locations—to his home in Chaman Park, Old Mustafabad.
When questioned, he admitted he joined out of curiosity about how WebEx worked.
It turns out Imran has more than 50 criminal cases against him in Delhi; after being released from prison in September 2021, he went back to crimes like robbery to fund his drug and alcohol habits.
Police have seized his phone, SIM card, and router as the investigation continues.
