Mother-son duo killed man over ₹7 lakh: Report

India

Harveer Singh Malik, a property dealer from Greater Faridabad, was killed on July 11, 2025.
Police say his wife Sangeeta and son Sahil planned the murder after a fight over ₹7 lakh.
They allegedly entered his room while he slept, along with Sangeeta's sister, and struck him with a heavy object.

They hid the body in a sack

After the murder, Sangeeta and Sahil hid Harveer's body in a sack and left it near Sidhdata Ashram.
To throw off suspicion, Sangeeta sent messages from Harveer's phone pretending he'd gone abroad.
When relatives grew suspicious, especially after an odd message on August 14 claiming Harveer was leaving due to a "serious mistake," police stepped in.
On August 20, both accused confessed to the crime and led police to the body; Sangeeta's sister Jyoti is also being questioned as part of the ongoing investigation.
