NEET-UG Nagpur candidate mistakenly assigned exam center in Abu Dhabi
What's the story
A candidate from Nagpur, Abdullah Mohammad Talib, was mistakenly assigned an examination center in Abu Dhabi for the Re-NEET UG 2026 exam. The error was due to a technical glitch in his admit card issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The incident has come to light one day before the re-examination on June 21.
Official response
NTA to issue revised admit card
The NTA has acknowledged the mistake and promised to issue a revised admit card with the correct examination center. Abdullah had applied for the exam from Nagpur and had selected Nagpur, Wardha, and Bhandara as his preferred cities. However, his admit card listed an Indian school in Abu Dhabi as the examination center.
Parental concern
Family waiting for NTA to rectify issue
Abdullah's father, Dr. Mohammad Talib, expressed his shock over the incident. Speaking to NDTV, he said, "We are shocked. My son started crying after seeing the admit card." The family is now waiting for NTA to rectify the issue and issue a new admit card with a Nagur examination center.
