Odisha flood: Balasore district severely affected

Floods in Balasore, Odisha have left over 50 villages submerged and one person missing.
Even though the Subarnarekha river's water level has dropped below danger, four blocks—Baliapal, Bhograi, Basta, and Jaleswar—are still struggling.
Rescue crews are out with boats, helping people get to safety.

Over 50,000 people affected

More than 50,000 people have been impacted so far. Health workers are handing out ORS and halogen tablets to keep everyone safe from illness.
Many residents are still camped out on river embankments in makeshift shelters as recovery continues.
Meanwhile, local MP Pratap Sarangi called the sudden release of water from Jharkhand's Chandil Dam "criminal misconduct," highlighting ongoing concerns about the disaster response.
