PM Modi flags off 164th Vande Bharat train

Prime Minister Modi just launched four more Vande Bharat Express trains from Varanasi, taking the total count across India to 164.
The goal? Faster, smoother travel and better connections between key cities.

Travel time between these cities has been reduced significantly

The Banaras-Khajuraho train now links two major cultural spots, shaving off about two hours and 40 minutes of travel time.
Lucknow-Saharanpur saves nearly an hour of travel time and improves access to Haridwar via Roorkee.
Firozpur-Delhi becomes the fastest on its route at 6 hours 40 minutes, while Ernakulam-Bengaluru saves over two hours for travelers in the south.
These upgrades are set to boost tourism, help local economies, and make getting around India a lot easier.
