PM Modi inaugurates Bihar development projects
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Siwan, Bihar, launching and laying foundation stones for projects worth ₹5,700 crore.
Highlights include a new Vaishali-Deoria railway line, the Patliputra-Gorakhpur Vande Bharat Express for smoother travel in North Bihar, and India's first export locomotive headed to Guinea.
He also set the stage for a big battery storage project to support renewable energy.
Focus on real infrastructure ahead of elections
These projects are all about boosting daily life—better trains mean easier commutes, while new sewage plants and water supply upgrades (worth over ₹3,000 crore) aim to keep rivers cleaner and improve public health.
Plus, thousands of families got housing aid under PM Awas Yojana.
With elections coming up, this visit signals a strong focus on real infrastructure that could actually impact how people live in Bihar.
