PM Modi inaugurates ₹2,750 crore railway projects in Odisha
On June 20, 2025, PM Narendra Modi will kick off and lay foundations for railway projects worth ₹2,750 crore in Odisha.

New railway line to be inaugurated
Modi will open the Sonepur-Purunakatak line—connecting Boudh district to India's rail network for the first time and making trips to places like Bhairavi Temple easier.
He'll also start work on extra lines between Sarla and Sason to help clear up train traffic and support local industry.

New train services are coming: Boudh-Bhubaneswar, Sambalpur-Boudh Weekly Expresses, plus Inter City and Shuttle trains from Purunakatak.
All this means more options and better connections across Odisha.
