Police posts to come up in Delhi's pedestrian subways

To make city travel safer, Delhi's Public Works Department (PWD) is planning to set up police posts in all 50 pedestrian subways.
This comes after long-standing issues about thefts, snatching, and vandalism—especially on busy stretches like Ring Road and Outer Ring Road.
The idea is to boost safety and actually encourage people to use these underpasses without worry.

Plans to revamp spaces beneath flyovers

The PWD also wants to revamp spaces beneath 93 flyovers, turning empty spots into useful places like clinics or offices.
Both projects are part of a bigger plan to make public areas safer and more welcoming, but final steps depend on approvals from Delhi Police and coordination with other authorities.
