    It has been a rough couple of months for PUBG in India, where the lives of many youngsters were affected due to the addictive nature of the multiplayer online game. Many citizens sought a ban over the game and Gujarat has successfully implemented it among primary school students. Now, after facing massive backlash, PUBG has recently released a statement regarding this. Here's more.

    PUBG working with educators, teachers, government bodies to improve app

    "While we strive to deliver the best possible gaming experience to our fans, we also believe it is extremely important for us to be a responsible member of the gaming ecosystem," PUBG MOBILE team said in the statement. They also said that the PUBG team is working with educators, parents, and government bodies to make improvements in its app.

    'We are developing numerous new features and enhancements'

    "To foster a healthy and balanced in-game environment, we are developing numerous new features and enhancements which enables us to provide an environment for players to enjoy PUBG MOBILE in a rewarding and responsible manner," it said. The game has been developed by PUBG Corporation.

    Case: 15-year-old boy was suffering through gaming disorder

    This statement from PUBG team comes in time, as this might save many youngsters from falling prey to game addiction. Like last year, this 15-year-old Bengalurean had to be treated in a special clinic, SHUT (Service for Healthy Use of Technology), because he was suffering from gaming disorder. The boy would play till 2-3am, which meant he woke up late and missed his classes.

    11-year-old boy filed PIL in Bombay HC seeking PUBG ban

    Another case involved a fitness trainer in Jammu and Kashmir who lost mental balance after getting addicted to the game. He reportedly started hitting himself after playing the game, probably to reprimand himself. Earlier, an 11-year-old boy filed a PIL in Bombay HC appealing for a ban on the game in Maharashtra. He said the game promotes aggression, violence, cyberbullying and gives negative vibes.

    PUBG has over 30 million daily users globally

    PUBG Corporation is a subsidiary of South Korean videogame company Bluehole. The game was first launched for consoles in December'17 and reached the smartphones in March'18. Currently, it has more than 30 million daily active users globally. Moreover, its popularity has increased with the gaming competitions, which give handsome rewards to the winners.

    Streaming PUBG game on YouTube is another trending business

    Recently, a tournament, PUBG Mobile India Series 2019, had a pool of Rs. 1 crore. The winner bagged Rs. 30 lakh and top 10 teams also went home with cash prizes. Apart from playing the game, streaming the game live on YouTube is another trending business. Case-in-point: YouTuber Rahul Pandey's channel's subscribers jumped from 17,000 to 70,000 after 50-60 days of streaming PUBG Mobile.
