Pulwama woman asks for son's release in Red Fort blast

India

Before the deadly car blast near Delhi's Red Fort, which left 12 dead and 20 injured, Dr Muzammil—a Kashmiri doctor and university faculty member—was arrested as a suspect.
His mother, Naseema from Pulwama, says she hasn't spoken to him in four years and only found out about his arrest through others.
She's now asking for his release, but police haven't allowed the family any contact with him.

Police claim Dr Muzammil is part of a terror network

Police say Dr Muzammil is part of a terror network made up of radicalized medical professionals.
This group reportedly started in 2021-22 and has been active across several states including Jammu & Kashmir, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh.
The investigation is still unfolding—another of Naseema's sons is also reportedly in custody—and authorities are looking into possible connections and plans for more attacks in northern India.
