Pune struggles with rainfall aftermath

Pune's been hit with nonstop rain since early Thursday, leading to waterlogged streets and major traffic jams across key areas like Hinjewadi, Mundhwa, Kothrud, and Hingne.
Some homes in Sai Nagar even got flooded after an old wall—left unrepaired for over a year—finally gave way.

Commuters facing tough time

The downpour has caused big headaches for commuters, with main roads like Dhayari-Sinhagad Road seriously jammed up.
Emergency crews had to deal with a giant crater in Shivshambho Nagar and a fallen tree in Pashan.
With dam levels rising fast (now more than double last year), officials are warning people living near the river about possible floods as the rain is expected to stick around until June 20.
