Rajasthan: BJP leader shot at in Chittorgarh, critical condition

Ramesh Inani, former BJP city secretary in Chittorgarh, was seriously injured after being shot near a petrol pump on Tuesday.
A helmeted attacker on a bike fired two shots at him before speeding away.
Inani was hit in the back and leg and rushed to the hospital—his condition remains critical.

Shooter unidentified, probe underway

Police are checking CCTV footage but haven't identified the shooter yet, since the bike's number plate wasn't clear. Investigators are looking into possible personal or business rivalries.
Local MLA Chandrabhan Singh Akya visited Inani at the hospital and called for quick action.
The attack has left the community tense and demanding answers.
