Red Fort blast case: 2 doctors questioned over JeM links

India

Two Kashmiri doctors—Dr. Mohammad Arif from Kanpur and Dr. Farooq from Hapur—are being questioned by Delhi and UP police over suspected ties to a Jaish-e-Mohammed module behind the Red Fort blast that killed 12 people.
Investigators believe the doctors may have been in contact with key accused, including Dr. Adeel Ahmad Rather, Dr. Muzammil Shakeel, and the alleged bomber Dr. Umar Nabi.

Case exposes network of radicalized medical professionals

The case has revealed a broader network of radicalized medical professionals possibly helping the module across Jammu & Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana.
Police have seized electronic devices from other detained doctors and are tracking their activities in multiple UP districts.
Authorities also discovered nearly 2,900kg of explosives linked to the group, while one main suspect, Dr. Shakeel, was arrested in Faridabad with a large haul of explosives as investigations continue.
