Red Fort blast probe uncovers international terror network
The recent car blast at Delhi's Red Fort, which killed at least 12 people, has led investigators to a Jaish-e-Mohammad terror module with connections stretching to Afghanistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
The main suspect, Dr. Umar Nabi, is still missing.
Authorities have frozen over ₹2 lakh in bank accounts and are tracking digital trails linking local operatives to foreign handlers.
How the investigation unfolded
Things picked up after police arrested three men for putting up threatening posters, which then led them to uncover a bigger network moving weapons and money.
With help from one of the detainees, more arrests followed—including two doctors allegedly involved in the plot.
Investigators also found that the group raised large funds for the cause through multiple channels, with encrypted apps making their communication tough to trace.
