₹18cr heroin bust in Assam: Trafficker caught after joint BSF-NCB op
India
A major drug trafficker was arrested in Jalukbari, Assam, after the Border Security Force (BSF) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) teamed up for a big bust.
Acting on solid intel, they intercepted a Creta coming from Manipur and seized nine kilograms of heroin—worth about ₹18 crore.
How the bust went down
This successful raid was thanks to close coordination between BSF's Guwahati team and NCB.
A BSF spokesperson highlighted how teamwork made it possible, saying vigilance and cooperation paid off.
It's actually their second heroin seizure this week—the last one involved 80gm in Jammu with help from Punjab Police.
The arrested trafficker, car, and drugs are now with NCB for further investigation.
