Jaishankar told Newsweek that there was "no discussion of trade" during his call with US officials and PM Modi—just a focus on the actual ceasefire.

The ceasefire talks kicked off after a terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22.
India responded with Operation Sindoor against Pakistan-linked groups, followed by a quick counter to a Pakistani military strike in May.
