Salon owner faces charges for denying Dalit students haircuts

Barbers warned not to deny services to Dalits

After a complaint, police booked the salon owner under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act and warned other barbers not to deny services to Dalits.
Social welfare officials visited the village to keep an eye on things and make sure everyone's rights are protected.
