Schoolboy commits suicide, teacher arrested

A 16-year-old boy in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, died by suicide after his teacher allegedly accused him of having an inappropriate relationship with a classmate and humiliated him.
The teacher, Simcosraj (30), was arrested for abetment of suicide after the boy's parents found a note blaming the teacher.

The student's family and others protested outside the school demanding action.
Police have taken Simcosraj into custody for questioning, and the case is now with Tamil University Police.
