Telangana families head to Saudi Arabia after tragic bus accident

About 50 relatives from Hyderabad are flying to Saudi Arabia ahead of the funeral expected on Thursday after a devastating bus crash killed at least 42 pilgrims from Telangana (some reports say 45).
The Telangana government has sent a team to support the families and help with arrangements on the ground.

What's being done for the victims' families?

Each affected family will receive ₹5 lakh as compensation from the state, with possible extra help coming from Saudi authorities.
Because the victims' bodies are unrecognizable, family members traveling there must give DNA samples for identification and death certificates.
The government is also helping with documents and making sure all necessary protocols are followed during this tough time.
