    #CBSE2019: 5 things to do before Class 12 pre-boards

The Class 12 Board Examinations are crucial as they play an important role in shaping a student's career and future. The board exams are barely months away and students must be busy preparing now. The pre-board exams conducted by schools are an excellent opportunity to ascertain how effective their preparation is so far. Here are 5 things to be done before Class 12 pre-boards.

Cover the whole syllabus and focus on tough subjects

Students must not take pre-board exams lightly and must prepare for them properly and treat them like real board exams. They should cover the whole syllabus and revise all the topics at least once before taking the pre-board exams. While studying, they must focus on NCERT textbooks more before moving to advanced reference books. They should spend more time on subjects they find tough.

Plan your study process well and follow proper schedule

For Class 12 students, it is essential to follow a proper schedule and have a preparation strategy covering all subjects and topics. Not planning the preparation process well is one of the biggest mistakes. They must create a daily schedule, covering all subjects, and adhere to it. Also, students should set targets and meet their short-term and long-term preparation goals for different topics/subjects.

Practice and revise as much as possible, solve sample papers

It is important for students to practice and revise all the subjects and concepts regularly. The more they practice and revise the better. While revising, they can note down summaries and important points for future reference. They should solve previous year papers, CBSE sample papers, and take mock tests to assess the difficulty level, understand exam format, and manage time better in the exams.

Identify weak areas and analyze your performance regularly

After covering the complete syllabus, students should identify their weak areas. They should overcome their weaknesses by preparing a strategy and spending more time on them. They should analyze their performance after every practice test and aim to get better. Students can maintain a record of their performance, including the marks they score in sample tests, to understand how they can improve.

Know how to manage and utilize time properly

While preparing for the exams, students should also know how to manage and utilize their precious time well. The lack of time management and delaying or postponing study sessions is a grave mistake they must avoid. Students must remember that dedication, persistence, patience, right preparation, hard work, and proper time management are key to succeeding in the pre-boards and board exams as well.
