The staff had no idea how to deal with the confusion, prompting them to take the police's help. Finally on Monday, when the 21-year-old woman spoke up, the issue was resolved. Woman was admitted on Saturday by her 'husband'
The foundation for this strange case was laid on Saturday when one Sapna Maitra was admitted to a medical facility in Baghajatin. A man, who was identified as Dipankar Pal, got her admitted and signed the documents as Sapna's husband. On Sunday, she was taken to the delivery room, where she gave birth to a girl. And then a twist happened.
Confusion
Soon, another man entered the picture, called himself Sapna's husband
On Sunday, another man named Harsha Khetri arrived at the hospital, claiming to be Sapna's husband. Apparently, he got the news from her WhatsApp status. In the hospital, Harsha and Dipankar first got into a verbal fight, then a scuffle. The hospital's operations manager Tirthankar Ghosh said, "We called the police who took both outside the hospital. We then restricted the woman's visitors."

While Harsha gave marriage certificate, Dipankar couldn't
The cops asked Harsha and Dipankar to furnish marriage certificates to support their claims. While Harsha brought one by the evening, Dipankar backed off saying he was Sapna's "friend". All along, Sapna's mother, who saw the incident, refused to acknowledge Harsha as her son-in-law. While police waited for Sapna to regain consciousness, a third man came with a different story.

After gaining consciousness, Sapna revealed Harsha was real father
The third man, named Pradip Roy, said he was the child's rightful father, though he didn't claim to be married to Sapna. Flummoxed, police thought to wait for Sapna's statement. When she was allowed to speak by midnight on Monday, she didn't hesitate and revealed Harsha was her husband and her daughter's father. Subsequently, police learned that their relationship was "complicated".

Harsha and Sapna met in club and their relationship started
Reportedly, Harsha and Sapna met in a club, started a relationship and she got pregnant. "I asked for some time as I thought both of us were too young to start a family," he said. Thereafter, Sapna filed a rape complaint against Harsha. After spending some time behind bars, he agreed to marry her in April. They lived separately as their families didn't accept the relationship.
