Three-year-old girl badly injured by stray dog in Ujjain district
A three-year-old girl was badly injured by a stray dog while playing outside her home in Delwadi village, Ujjain district, Madhya Pradesh.
She suffered deep cuts on her face and was rushed to a local hospital before being moved to Indore for advanced treatment.
MYH Indore doctors place 50 stitches
Doctors at MYH in Indore stitched up her wounds, about 50 stitches in total, and say she may need plastic surgery later.
Dr. Jitendra Kaithwal, an anesthesiologist involved in her treatment, shared that their main focus was stopping the bleeding and reattaching the skin.
This incident highlights rising cases of stray dog attacks in the state; just earlier this month, a woman lost her life in a similar attack.
The Supreme Court had already called for steps like sterilizing and relocating stray dogs to keep people safe.
