    The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), comprising Main and Advanced exams, is the most difficult engineering entrance exam through which students are admitted to top technical institutes in the country. While the prestigious IITs are considered the best, there are many top-ranking engineering institutes that offer quality technical education. Many of these admit students through JEE-Main. Here are the top engineering institutes accepting JEE-Main score.

    NITs and IIITs are the most sought-after institutes after IITs

    The National Institutes of Technology (NITs) are the most sought-after engineering institutes after the IITs. There are 31 NITs that offer BTech courses in various disciplines. The Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs), technical institutions focused on information technology and computer science fields, are also among India's premier institutions; there are 23 IIITs across India. Both NITs and IIITs admit students through JEE-Main.

    TIET, Patiala is one of the best private engineering colleges

    Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology or TIET (formerly known as Thapar University) in Punjab's Patiala is one of the top private engineering colleges in the country. It is deemed to be a university and was established in 1956. TIET admits students to its engineering courses based on their JEE Main score. It offers various BE, BTech, and integrated BE+MBA courses.

    Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra also accepts JEE score

    The Birla Institute of Technology in Mesra of Jharkhand's Ranchi, popularly known as BIT Mesra, is another top ranking institute for pursuing engineering in the country. BIT Mesra is a deemed university that was established in the year 1955. Students are admitted to the institute's undergraduate engineering programs on the basis of merit assessed by the JEE Main score.

    SASTRA deemed university in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu

    The Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy, also known as SASTRA, in Tamil Nadu's Thanjavur is one of the best engineering institutes in the country. It is deemed to be a university that was founded in 1984. SASTRA deemed university offers a number of BTech and integrated BTech+MTech programs. Admissions to the undergraduate courses depend on the candidate's JEE-Main performance.

    Amity University in Greater Noida also accepts JEE-Main score

    Amity University in Greater Noida of Uttar Pradesh is another popular and top-ranking institute in the country. It is a private university that was established in 2005. Amity University is one of the most preferred institutions among engineering aspirants too. Admissions to its BTech programs are done on the basis of AmityJEE as well as JEE-Main score.
