Tripura: 2 BSF personnel injured in cattle smuggling attempt
India
Two BSF personnel were hurt on Friday during a run-in with cattle smugglers near the Bishalgarh border in Tripura's Sepahijala district.
The smugglers, worried about getting caught and losing their livestock, attacked the patrol and even damaged a BSF vehicle.
Both men discharged after treatment
Thankfully, both injured BSF members got treated at a local hospital and were soon discharged.
Police have already arrested one suspect.
This isn't an isolated case—smuggling attempts keep happening, especially since Tripura's 856-kilometer border with Bangladesh is mostly fenced, but a few patches are still unfenced.
