Uber auto driver tries to hit woman after she cancels

India

In Bengaluru, a woman from Northeast India, Enn Bii, says she faced harassment and attempted assault by an Uber auto driver on October 2.
After canceling her ride when the driver didn't show up but was marked "arrived," she booked another auto.
Shortly after, a driver named Pavan HS appeared and blocked her way.

Driver spoke in Kannada, which Bii couldn't understand

Pavan allegedly demanded payment and spoke in Kannada, which Bii couldn't understand.
When she tried to note his vehicle number, he reportedly tried to hit her while recording her without permission.
She shared a video online with the message: "We are not even safe in our own country."
Police have reached out to help with their investigation, and Uber has banned the driver permanently while cooperating with authorities.
