Ujjain temple prays for astronaut's mission success
On a recent Thursday, Ujjain's Mahakaleshwar Temple held special prayers for Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, who became the second Indian to head to space since 1984.
He's on a two-week mission with Axiom Mission 4 (Ax-4), traveling to the International Space Station (ISS).
Shukla's journey to the ISS
Shukla, an experienced Air Force officer, launched from NASA's Kennedy Space Center on June 25 with an international crew led by Peggy Whitson. They docked at the ISS a day later.
While in orbit, he'll be working on scientific experiments—making history and representing India.
Temple rituals for Shukla
The temple marked his mission with early morning rituals like Panchamrit Puja Abhishek and Bhasma Aarti.
Thousands joined in, blending ancient traditions with modern achievements as they wished Shukla success while he circles Earth.
