Unveiling the child kidnapping racket at New Delhi Railway Station

Delhi Police have arrested three women—Aarti, Kanta Bhujel, and Nirmala Nemmi—for running a child abduction racket at New Delhi Railway Station.
Between July 2023 and January 2024, they targeted toddlers on crowded platforms, taking advantage of the chaos to kidnap kids and sell them to childless couples.

The group snatched children as young as four months old while they slept, selling some to families in Ghaziabad and Paharganj.
One boy was even abandoned when they couldn't find a buyer.
The operation involved fake adoption papers and help from others posing as professionals.
